On 4 September 2020, the partnership signing ceremony between Thanh Xuân Secondary School and the Vietnam - France Psychology Institute (VFPI) took place at Thanh Xuân’s campus.
It was attended by the Director of VFPI, Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Lộc, and other experts from the Institute, alongside Thanh Xuân Secondary School’s Head of School, Dr. Ngô thị Diệp Lan.
VFPI will support this project by bringing mental health initiatives by building the Centre for Wellbeing on campus, including prevention training programs, specially designed for managers, educators, teachers, members of staff, parents, and students. VFPI will be supporting the school:
Organizing school-based activities that promote mental health and wellness in both schools’ community
Providing training for school counselors and educational psychologists
Providing prevention training courses for different school groups that include: managers, teachers, parents, and students
Providing career advice and career orientations for students and parents
“The official partnership and today’s ceremony are meaningful events for not only myself but also Thanh Xuân Secondary School. Here at Thanh Xuân, we have always strived to build a healthy school culture for students and teachers that is full of love, sharing, mutual support, and cooperation. We are looking forward to this fruitful partnership with VFPI, whose professionals and experts would be able to help our members of staff understand mental health care more deeply and raise awareness of mental health care in the school environment.” said Dr. Ngô Thị Diệp Lan.

“We are very pleased to know that apart from the importance of physical health, academic standards, and general knowledge, Thanh Xuân is also interested in putting students’ mental health at its heart. We hope this cooperation between us will create a happy school environment aligned with national but also international standards,” said Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Lộc.
