Dr. Nam had experience of practicing intervention in the Department of Pathology - National Hospital of Pediatrics (2001-2002); Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology - 103 Military Medical Hospital (2003-2004); Behavioral Center for Health Intellectual Disability Clinic at Vanderbilt University (2010 - 2011); Associated Psychiatrists of Nashville (2010 – 2011); Joseph McLaughlin Private Psychological Practice Center (2011-2012); Danang Mental Hospital and Central Mental Hospital I, Thuong Tin, Hanoi (2012-2013); Center for Career Information and Applied Psychology Counseling (from 2013 to present), One Team One Dream (2016 to present)
Dr. Nam is a therapeutic consultant for an international organization called OPTUM in Vietnam (from 2013 to present).
Dr. Nam has more than 10 years of experience teaching postgraduate degrees in the subject of Psychiatry; Psychological Assessment; Assessment of intellectual capacity; Therapeutic intervention theory; the practice of therapeutic interventions on extroverted issues; Psychological intervention techniques for children. The main research areas include adapting and standardizing the evaluation of developmental progress in early stages; adapting and developing prevention interventions for children and adolescents suffering from developmental disorders, behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder… Dr. Nam is an expert in developing and training of WISC-IV cognitive competence assessment in all training courses. He has not only been a key member of the MSc and Doctor of Clinical Psychology program for children and adolescents since 2009 but also responsible for the launch of the MSc Counseling Program since 2018 under the Department of Educational Sciences. Dr. Nam is an speaker who actively contribute social feedbacks and comments in the field of education and mental health for children and community. He is a regular guest of the media agencies all over the country.
